Our team arrived at the Omni Hotel in Amelia Island. We were setting up for another great Western Event. Because of the rumors of a possible hurricane coming, we moved the event inside. Just after the event the hurricane showed up. WOW, it was awesome! Wind blowing and waves shooting up into the air. I wanted to have a drink outside by the pool while holding on to the table, that was bolted to the concrete. This thought was much better than the actual experience. Too much wind! The next morning we had a mandatory evacuation. Everyone scrambling for the airport! As a good friend said, "Well, you can scratch off from your bucket list, having a drink in a hurricane". All in all, it was quite an experience. We are now looking for the next adventure!

Wild Bill's Western Store helped George Strait add a another belt buckle to his collection for his Strait Down Route 66 performance at the BOK Center in Oklahoma on June 2. The event center in Tulsa commissioned the custom-designed buckle from Wild Bill's Western Store for the Country Music Hall of Famer. According to Bill Dewbre, owner of Wild Bill's Western Store, "The King of Country" was more than gracious and humble when he received the buckle, showing that fame doesn't overshadow good old southern hospitality. Dewbre recalls meeting numerous celebrities from movie stars and music artists like Elton John, and The Rolling Stones, to royalty and Saudi sheiks over his 50+ years in the western wear business. "Recently we designed a set of buckles for Bon Jovi," said Dewbre. "He used to come into our store every once in a while, whenever he did his concerts in Dallas." Strait's team also received custom Wild Bills' belt buckles to commemorate the exclusive one night performance in Oklahoma presented by Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa. The concert is the first show for BOK Center's "10 for 10" concert series in 2018, a planned celebration that will feature ten blockbuster artists commemorating the arena's tenth anniversary.
Designs custom boots and belt buckle for Grammy-winning artist's Beautiful Trama tour Wild Bill's Western Store helped P!nk add a little southern flare to her performance at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on May 1. The artist received authentic, custom-made cowboy boots and a flashy, Texan belt buckle custom designed by Wild Bill's Western Store. The three-time Grammy-winning artist rocked her bedazzled Texan attire as soon as she received it, and Wild Bill himself attended the concert the following night. "My genre is usually country and blues, but I was amazed at the performance by P!nk! The vocals and music touched my spirit," said Wild Bill's owner Bill Dewbre. "The showmanship was over the top, and I want to truly thank everyone for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful experience." Dewbre said he didn't realize the depth of P!nk's heart or how much she cared about her fans until he went to the concert. Her love for people shows through her sincerity and warmth on stage, according to Dewbre. "We try to provide a warm, welcoming Texas experience for everyone who visits our store, and we're glad to find a kindred, kind soul in P!nk," said Dewbre. "She's what we'd call an honorary Texan." P!nk continues her Beautiful Trauma World Tour headed west, dawning a true Texas wardrobe meant for a star.
