Meet Bill “Wild Bill” Dewbre
Bill Dewbre didn't discover Western culture. He was raised in it.
His story started in downtown Dallas, as an 8-year-old kid learning from his father how to create works of art by hand tooling into leather. He learned how to hand stitch and work on cowboy boots. After returning from the Vietnam War, Bill started his first business with $10 in his pocket and a prayer in his heart. He has never looked back since.
What followed was over 5 decades of building something most people wouldn't attempt: a brand so tied to the identity of a city that it became inseparable from it. Bill founded Wild Bill's Western Store, which grew into one of the top 12 Western stores in the United States and one of Dallas's most recognized attractions. The store became a landmark. A piece of Dallas itself.
As demand grew for immersive, Western-themed experiences beyond the store's walls, Bill answered. He built Legendary Western Events from the ground up, bringing the warmth of authentic Western heritage directly to trade shows, conventions, and corporate events.
Custom belt buckles for Garth Brooks, George Strait, and Jon Bon Jovi. Boots crafted for Pink's tour. Outfitted the cast of the television show Dallas and Walker, Texas Ranger. Western wardrobes and design elements for National Geographic, Google, Twitter, Disney, X-Factor, and the Food Television Network.
