How a Siemens Trade Show Turned Into a Stampede
The Challenge
How do you pull people to your booth at a highly competitive convention?
Siemens was exhibiting at a trade show at the San Antonio Convention Center. Their goal was straightforward: generate enough excitement to pull foot traffic to their booth and create meaningful conversations with prospects.
The Solution
Bring in Wild Bill of Legendary Western Events
Bill Dewbre has spent over 5 decades watching the excitement of making custom cowboy hats for special events. He was asked to distribute 400 hats over two days. Bill knew that Siemens was underestimating the effect that the hat event would on their booth. Bill loaded up 1,000 hats and brought them to San Antonio.
Siemens sent out information the night before the event letting everyone know, that if you came to Siemens first, they would receive a custom cowboy hat.
The Result
Bill set-up a full-scale Legendary Western experience inside the Siemons booth.
When the doors opened there was a stampede going straight to the Siemens booth. The line was out the door and down the convention hall (please see the pictures). All waiting for their hat.
When the head of Siemens saw how successful that hat event was having by bringing in clients to their booth, they asked Bill to give away all the hats in one day. At Siemens request, Bill brought in the additional hats making Siemons the most successful Booth at the convention center. Siemens mentioned that it was the most successful event that they’ve ever had. San Antonio convention Center presented Bill and Siemens with a Blue Ribbon award for the best booth and the best gifts given at the San Antonio convention center.
Bill, you made us look good. Everyone is overwhelmed with the excitement your event is bringing to our booth. We had no idea how popular this would be.— Natalia Shtern, Siemens

557 VIPs Per Session. Three Events. Every Guest Treated Like the Only One in the Room.
The Challenge
Making 1,600+ VIPs Feel Personally Valued in 3 Hours at a Time
Augeo, a leading engagement and loyalty marketing firm, was organizing a multi-session VIP gifting experience for US Bank at the Omni PGA Resort in Frisco, Texas. The concept: 3 separate events across 2 days, each with 557 guests. High-value clients and VIP staff who expected more than a standard corporate gift.
The constraint was time. Each session lasted just 3 hours, meaning the LWE team needed to deliver a personalized, premium experience for over 500 people per wave — without sacrificing the one-on-one attention that makes the experience meaningful.
The Solution
Custom Hats, Custom Brands, and a Decorating Station That Made It Personal
Legendary Western Events deployed a team of 10 staff across both days. Every guest received a custom steamed and shaped cowboy hat. Each hat was branded on-site with the US Bank logo using a custom branding iron, along with five additional assorted Western irons.
A hat decorating station was set up with feathers, jewels, and accessories so guests could personalize their hats to match their own style. Each guest stepped up, chose their hat, watched it get shaped for them, then moved to the decorating station to make it fully their own. In a three-hour window with 557 people, the operation ran seamlessly.
The Result
Every Guest Walked Away Feeling Like the Only One in the Room
The energy across all three sessions was immediate. Guests didn't just accept a gift — they participated in creating it. The hat decorating station turned into a social gathering point where attendees expressed their personalities through their designs. It sparked conversations and connections across the room.
The client reported that their VIP guests loved the way they were treated. The experience made every person feel individually valued. The combination of craftsmanship and warm hospitality turned a corporate gesture into a genuine moment of connection.
This was the best investment we made for the entire conference. Your staff was so awesome — it's unbelievable how friendly and courteous and attentive to the details of each guest. Our team is still talking about it.— Jessica Schraeder, Senior Gifting Engagement Manager, Augeo
